You might have to do some light modifications/improvements on this. It's made out of pressboard so if you try to use a screwgun to put in screws you may strip it out. I probably wouldn't have ordered it if I had realized. It's still OK. the critical center piece showed a split upon hand tightening (see pic) and I have been assembling stuff like this for over 40 years, so not my fault. Luckily I noticed and stopped tightening. Would have sent it back here but I needed this thing to work like now. Figuring gravity would affect this once loaded, I fabricated a support to go underneath the center piece and I recommend you do so as well, especially if you are going to put decent weight in it like a vacuum cleaner. I fell like a rear/center support should be included, because, you know, pressboard. Also if you need to shim it to level I feel like the pressboard might collapse at the corners so I cut a piece of plywood to put under the whole thing and shimmed that. Probably should have screwed it to the bottom for additional bracing. My building is over 100 years old and the floors are far from level. Maybe they could put in some corner reinforcements?
It feels sturdy enough once fully assembled, I don't know if you could move it to a new house assembled though.
If you follow the directions and go nice and slow you should be fine. When it says "these things must be straight" they mean it. The hinges are adjustable so you can get the doors level. Mine is just the slightest bit off when adjusted fully out. My drawers worked perfectly although they seemed to work a little better when I swapped their positions, but I thought they should be exactly the same
As others have mentioned the top is not laminated so you'll need some contact paper or something
So it's OK, some improvements could be made. didn't like the split of course but I just worked around it, if I was a person who didn't have some experience and the tools to deal with it I might be more upset.

BUT, they have excellent design taste only they lack in durability. It took me four hours to put my cabinet together, then another two hours to properly organize it (gently- because it has a thin cardboard back that gets nailed to the left and right backside of the cabinet and I'm not an idiot i get these things are not the greatest). Once its together its incredible to look at and the first thing i let slide was the slight misproportion of the cabinet doors but they were slight and unless you're just staring it down you won't notice it in passing. i needed this to act as a linen closet because i recently remodeled and took out a closet to create a hall. And for the price i figured it must be better than the reviews I see. Well it is- until you try to move it. even gently sliding it and pushing at the bottom jacks this thing up. as soon as i placed it i opened a drawer to put n a single pillow case and it slid out and popped off its track and i was like "ok maybe i pulled this too hard i need to be more gentle" NOOOOO!!!!!!! no matter how gentle you are this thing falls apart every time you touch it in some way, shape, or form.
I wouldnt be so upest if it wasnt for the fact that the money i used to buy this thing was a gift from my mother in law who recently passed away, and i feel like i squandered her kindness away on something ridiculous. so now, not only do i have this cabinet that wants to keep falling apart every five seconds, Im leaving a warning review to anyone else who may be wanting to purchase this thing. its gorgeous it has plenty of storage space but it will take a while to put together and then five seconds to break. its just not worth almost 400 they ask for it.
my suggestion is to find a matching dimensional wall space to slide this thing into so that it protects this cabinet. It CANNOT be free standing with both the left and right sides exposed because it does not manage weight dispersment properly and the middle piece that connects both outside ends are not screwed into anything but MDF which wears too easy.
Unless Sauder figures out a way to make the body of this cabinet hold together better this is a waste of money. I BUY ALOT from amazon and this is the FIRST thing I've bought that i am legit unhappy about.
You've been professionally warned.
( please know- it was delivered in stellar condition, impeccably packaged, completely undamaged with all its components PLUS extra is you needed it. But it legit lacks the durability needed to be functional.)
Add- I’ve reinforced every bit of this thing that I could adding another hundred dollars to this- and I still can’t get it to sit right I don’t want to have to fix it to the wall but it looks like that is going to be my only option.
No worth it. And I don’t think I’ll get my money out of it before I just burn it!

The structure of the cabinet is somehow unusual: the load bearing consists of a solid plank in the middle (separating the two main compartments) plus a number of slats that constitute an external frame. You can see the slats in the photos; they are not there just for the show, they constitute the actual load bearing frame. The cabinet is then closed using thin panels made of some engineered wood. Incidentally speaking the back is make of the same kind of a panel, which is very nice given that the products in this price range usually have cardboard backs. The end result looks quite nice and is reasonably sturdy while also being lighter than the competition (not sure how much this matters though, as cabinets are rarely moved around). All the horizontal surfaces can hold a reasonable load. The compartments are well thought out.
Assembly is rather tedious but pretty straightforward (with one exception). The horror, I used a power drill (like I always do for assembling this kind of things), otherwise I would have grown old during the process. I know what I am doing (and I never had any problems), but I do not necessarily recommend power tools for people having less experience and/or a heavier hand on the trigger since things can go wrong really fast if not careful. I mentioned an exception to the straightforward assembly and that exception is the drawers. One needs extra caution to square them properly; the guides provided on the parts are not enough for the purpose. I am guessing that people complaining about the drawers not aligning properly followed those guides as instructed and still got crooked drawers; that's par for the course given the insufficient guides.
Overall I am quite happy with my purchase and I can recommend this cabinet.
